2ND GENERATION INTEL XEON SCALABLE PROCESSORS
When Intel launched its first generation Xeon Scalable processors in 2017, not only did they brand new server processors, but they also built a new mesh architecture that improves communication between processor cores compared to the ring architecture previously used for server CPUs.
Intel currently offers 3rd and 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors including Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The new second generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors deliver 1.36 times higher performance than the first generation Intel Xeon processors.
